Nineties kids will be happy to hear that their favorite simulated pets, Tamagotchi, are now available on the Apple Watch (NASDAQ: AAPL). According to CNN Money, the features of the app created by Japanese video game maker Bandai Namcoare are generally the same as the original, following the life cycle of a virtual creature. Users will still need to feed and play with their pet in order to prolong its life, which is usually only a couple of days. The original plastic key ring Tamagotchi launched in 1996 and was an instant success selling more than 80 million units, as reported by CNN Money. The Tamagotchi app is now available on iTunes for $0.99.
