Legoland Hotel Opens May 15

Being home to Disney World Parks (NYSE: DIS) and Universal Studios (NASDAQ: CMCSA), Orlando is the hub for fun attractions and thrills. To add to this, at the end of this week, Legoland Hotel will open as the newest addition to this fun-filled mecca. According to USA Today, Legoland Florida Resort’s newest 5-story hotel has 152 rooms and is made up of over 2 million Lego Bricks. The entire hotel is decked out in Legos and Lego characters, including a 15 ft. Lego dragon perched on the side of the building.

Targeted at children from ages 2- to 12-years-old, the hotel provides fun activities and play areas to amuse any Lego-loving kid. Guests can choose from different themed rooms including: pirate, adventure, kingdom or Lego Friends. Legoland Hotel also Lego-themed eating experiences, for both children and adults. Rooms start at $219, and give guests VIP access to the park and exclusive programing.

This is not the only addition to the resort, as Legoland will open a new themed land called Heartlake City this summer, and a 4-D movie attraction later this year.

My first reaction to this article was I really wish this existed when I was a kid. However, now that I think about it Legos were fun but difficult to play with and I got bored with them after awhile so maybe this isn't the place for me.
